Benjamin Calvin Campbell was born April 16, 1951, to the late Major Jr. and Gracie Mae Boatwright Campbell. He departed this life on August 30, 2025 at McLeod Hospital.
Benjamin received his formal education at Britton's Neck High School and was a member of Soul Chapel AME Church.
Benjamin was a devoted husband and father. He was married to Lillie Felder Campbell on August 24, 1978. His hobbies included fishing, hunting and lawn care.
Benjamin was preceded in death by his parents, son James Campbell, daughter Gracie McFadden and brother William Campbell.
Benjamin leaves to cherish his loving memories his wife Lillie Campbell of the home; two sons Anthony (Shaunte') Burgess of Lake City, SC and Antawin (Verlesa) Burgess of Johnsonville, SC; three grandchildren Jamerus McFadden and Jamaria McFadden both of Johnsonville, SC and Alayna Burgess of Lake City, SC; one son-in-law James McFadden; nine siblings Emanual (Mary) Campbell and David (Gloria) Campbell all of Gresham, SC, Notria (Chuck) Wilkins of Goldsboro, NC, Lottie Campbell of Mullins, SC, Shirley Fisher of Columbia, SC, Audrey Felder of Bowman, SC, Michael (Rutha) Campbell of St. Petersburg, FL, Mitchell (Laquisha) Campbell of Coco, Fl, Meletha (Gary) Glover of Columbia, SC; sisters-in-law Hattie Felder and Deloris Felder both of Johnsonville, SC, Margaree (Earl) Richardson of Gresham, SC, Curlie Felder of Columbia, SC; special friends Robert Felder and Buddy Stone; a host of nieces, nephews and many other loving relatives.
