On Wednesday, February 14, 2024, Cricket gained his wings at McLeod Hospital in  Florence, SC. He was born on February 26, 1969 to Booker T. Jones Sr. and Emma Jones in Florence County.

He received his education through the public school in Florence County and later attended Early C. Clement Job Corp. He was employed with Southeastern Wire Plant until his health declined.

Cricket was joined in holy matrimony to Debra Jean Jones. She preceded him in death.

Cricket leaves to cherish his fond memories: his parents Booker T. Jones Sr. and  Emma Jones; three stepchildren Maria Johnson, Samatha Johnson and Ryan Miller all of Conway, SC; siblings Terry Jones of the home, Yvette Jones of Florence, SC, Thomas C (Ebony) Jones of Orlando, FL, Elaine (Jerry) Durant of Johnsonville, SC, Carolina (Jonathan) Childs of Hemingway, SC, Derrick (Lalisha) Jones of Ridge Crest, CA; three aunts Barbara Skinner, Gloria (Richard) Williams and Lessie Mae Graham; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
