Bruce Edward Mitchell was born in Florence, SC, on January 29, 1958, to the late George R. and Heaster H. Mitchell. He departed this earthly life on June 15, 2025.

Mr. Mitchell received his education from the Florence County School System and subsequently joined The Job Corps in Tennessee.

He held employment with the City of Florence for a brief period and also worked at the Cadillac Motel.

He is survived by his son Byon A. McCullough, cherished grandchildren Gorgeous Byonce McCullough, Byon Artrell McCullough II, and Breon Melquan McCullough; his great-grandchildren: Jaxon Asir France, Aiden Amir France, Love Akemi  France; his brother George (Charlene) Mitchell; his three sisters: Faye Waiters, Bernice Mitchell (twin), and Zona (Moses) Howard; his special aunt Elizabeth McCleary; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends who will preserve his memory with affection.
