Crystal Shanett Nelson-Smalls was born on August 14, 1982 in Florence, SC to Elvis and Rosandra Nelson. She departed this earthy life on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at McLeod Regional Medical  Center.

Crystal attended the Florence County public schools where she graduated from South Florence High School class of 2001. She went on attend Francis Marion University and was formerly         employed at McLoed Regional Medical Center.

She was united in holy matrimony to AnTony L. Smalls in 2002 and this union was blessed with two beautiful children, Tytiyana Tamia Smalls and Tamori Nevaeh Smalls.

Crystal was called "Crissy" by those who knew and adored her. Crissy was a women dedicated to her faith and her family. She devoted her life to helping others and especially her children.

She was proceeded in death by her paternal grandparents, Heyward and Lillie Bell Nelson; her maternal grandfather Fraizer Thomas Wilson and maternal aunt Brenda Marie Wilson.

Left to cherish her precious memories: her husband, AnTony Smalls of the home, one daughter, Tytiyana Smalls; one son, Tamori Smalls both of the home; her father and mother, Elvis and     Rosandra Nelson; One brother, Elvidrick (Kenya) Nelson of Florence, SC; one sister, Melody (Ariel) Nelson from Standford Viriginia; one grandmother; Jettie Mae Wilson of Florence, SC; father and mother-in-law, Guy and Eva Smalls of Summerville, SC; one sister-in-law, Tiffany Smalls of  Summerville, SC; one niece and nephew Destinee' and Elvidrick Nelson Jr. of Florence, SC; two   special cousins, Tiffany (Marcus) Graham and Terrence (Jessica) Polite of Florence, SC; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends left to cherish her memories.
