Daniel "Boone" Pigett was a gentle soul full of love and laughter. He was born on July 22, 1973 in Florence, South Carolina to Sarah Pigett and Elijah "Ralph" Brooks, Jr. Daniel entered into eternal rest peacefully on  Saturday, February 17, 2024.

He received his formal education in Florence One Public Schools. He was employed with Otis Elevator and the Florence Civic Center.

Left to cherish his memories are his son Dominique James; three grandchildren Brayden A. James, Autumn D. Mitchell James, and Hazel C. Council; mother Sarah (Alton) McElveen; two brothers Ron C. Pigett and Eugene "Geno" Pigett; three sisters Angleron (Calvin) Sellers, Latisha (Cory) Cooper, and Gwinada Pigett Madison; his dedicated friend Angela Gilmore; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
