Deacon  Freddie Nettles, Jr. was born August 2, 1960 in Florence, South Carolina the son of late Freddie and Reather Nettles. Freddie departed his life on Saturday, November 30,2024 at MUSC in Florence South Carolina.

Freddie graduated from South Florence High School. He obtained his associates degree at Florence-Darlington Technology College in Florence SC.

Freddie Nettles was employed at McLeod Hospital, The Board of Disability and Special Needs,  and retired from the Florence Fire Department after 20 years  of service.

Freddie was a member of Salem United Methodist Church at a young age , later he join Bethel Apostolic Church where he was a faithful member. He served on the Deacon board, was a Sunday School Teacher, Trustee, sung on the Men's Choir and he also taught Bible Study on Wednesday nights.

He preceded in death by his parents and son Travis Nettles.

He leaves to mourn precious memories, one daughter Jade Nettles of Columbia, SC; one son Chauncey Nettles of Columbia, SC; one sister Annette (Abraham) Flemming of Florence, SC; one aunt Carrie Graham also known as Aunt Pigeon of Miami, FL; three nieces Kenyatta Flemming, Evory Johnson and La' Sandra Williams all of Florence, SC; two nephews

Aaron McCloud of Florence, SC and Cedrick Flemming of Atlanta, GA; one godson Josiah Flemming; one goddaughter Kae'yonna Robinson both of Florence, SC; best friend Calvin Williams; and a host of other family relatives that loved him dearly .
