Mrs. Diana Thompson-Greene, age 66, entered eternal rest on March 26, 2025. She was born on February 23, 1959, to the late Sammie and Virginia Thompson.
Diana was converted at an early age and joined Mill Branch A.M.E. Church. She was an active and dedicated member until her health failed. She was a member of the Women Missionary Society, the Celestial Choir, the Usher Board, the Sunday School Committee, and the Financial Committee. She also was a Daughters of Isis. Diana was an avid reader, lover of western movies and game shows. She also loved cooking, gardening and traveling.
Diana graduated from Southside High School in 1975 at the age of 16. She graduated from Francis Marion University in 1979 with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a minor in music. She taught music for several years. She was employed by Pee Dee Community Action Agency, First Citizen Bank of Columbia SC, and Fleet Funding.
She married Arthur Greene in 1988.
Left to cherish her fond memories is her husband, Arthur Greene, two adorable and loving children, Virginia Amber Thompson-Greene of Florence, SC, and Samuel Thompson-Greene of Murfreesboro, TN; two precious and delightful grandchildren who were the joy of her life, Nana Boy, Delonta (L J) and Harlow; three sisters Barbara Harley of Florence, SC, Martha (Roydel) Thompson-Henry of Augusta, GA, and Virence (Oscar) Johnson of Martinez, GA; one brother-in-law William (Cynthia) Greene of Florence, SC; two nieces Chantelle, Keish (Brian); four nephews LeVar (Takeila), Justin, Leandre, Mario (Australia); two aunts Rosa Lee Brooks of Florence, SC, and Delores Thompson of Pamplico, SC; one uncle Franklin Thompson of Newark, NJ; two god children Nathaniel Andrew (Daddy Man) and Latisha Dow; her best friend since elementary school, Brenda Gee of Effingham, SC, and a host of other relatives and friends.
