Dre'Keme A
Cooper
July 27, 2000 – March 27, 2026
Dre'Keme Ahmiad Cooper was born on July 27, 2000, in Florence, South Carolina. He was the beloved son of Donte' Cooper and Crystal Taylor, and he was lovingly raised by Alex and Joyce Williamson, who embraced him as their own. On Friday, March 27, 2026, Dre'Keme peacefully transitioned and became an angel watching over all who loved him.
Dre'Keme attended the public schools of Florence County and proudly graduated with the Darlington High School Class of 2018. He had a passion for basketball, enjoyed spending time in the gym lifting weights, and could always be found cracking jokes or singing his heart out. His laughter was contagious, and his presence had a way of lighting up any space he entered.
Family meant everything to Dre. He cherished his sisters, nieces, cousins, and the many people he considered family. His goofy, free‑spirited nature made him unforgettable—he kept everyone smiling, laughing, and feeling loved. Dre was a fierce protector of those he cared for, always willing to give his last to help someone else. His heart was big, generous, and full of love.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Ronald "Snake" Durant, and his sisters, Lakebia and Lakeydra Williamson.
Dre leaves behind a lifetime of precious memories to be cherished by his five sisters: Sa'Quaria Cooper, Zy'Keariah Taylor, Lailah Fryson, Royalety Wilson, and Irianna McCall; his brother, Alex (Marquita) Williamson; his paternal grandmother, Thelma Louise Cooper; his maternal grandmother, Bonita Giddings; and his maternal grandfather, Herbert Taylor. He is also remembered with love by his aunts Casey (Nathaniel) Gurley, Tyreika Moses, Latoya Cooper, Shalonda Jones, and Demetria Crawford; his niece, Symphony Cooper; his nephews, Kartier and Legaci Singletary; and his extended family Ke'Ziyah Williamson, Ay'Reonna Sellers, Ah'Marez Williamson, De'Mareion Lee, and Jeremy Gibbs Jr. A host of aunts, uncles, cousins, family, and dear friends will forever hold him close in their hearts.
