Belin Jr.
October 15, 1945 – May 3, 2024
On May 3, 2024 at his home in Johnsonville, SC this transitory life came to a close. Elijah, Jr. was born in Johnsonville, South Carolina to Elijah Belin, Sr. and Alizer Jane Belin. He was the eldest of eight children.
At an early age, Elijah, Jr. accepted Christ as his personal savior while attending St. Luke AME Church in Johnsonville, South Carolina. Elijah, Jr. graduated from Stuckey High School in 1964, Johnsonville, South Carolina. In his early years, he would drive the school bus. He later attended Florence-Darlington Technical School in Florence, SC.
Elijah, Jr. was an avid baseball player, who pitched with both hands (switch pitcher). Elijah, Jr. worked at J.P. Stevens, GE and Wellman. He worked as a mechanic. He loved sports, his favorite teams were Dallas Cowboys and the NY Yankees.
Elijah, Jr. was preceded in death by his father Elijah Belin, Sr and brother Edwin Belin.
Elijah, Jr. leaves to cherish precious memories; his children John Daniels of Pamplico, SC; Latonia (Ernie) Washington of South Carolina, James Neal Belin of SC; grandchildren Antonio Byrd, Shemar Washington, Aaliya McDaniel, Keyshawn McDaniel; three great-grandchildren; his mother Alizer Jane Belin; brothers Earl Belin, Elbert Belin, Ernest (Gloria) Belin, Sr., all of Johnsonville, SC; sisters Annie Ruth (Willie) Croley of Piscataway, NJ, Jewel Karnickey of Blythewood, SC, Annie Jocelyn Belin of Plainfield, NJ; aunts Deborah Belin of Plainfield, NJ, Dorothy Belin of Johnsonville, SC; uncle Lucius (Michelle) Belin of Plainfield, NJ and a host 0f relatives and friends.
