Gregory (Greg) Bines was born in Florence County on March 9, 1969, to his devoted parents, Francena Bines Dolford and Willie Gene Dolford, and to his biological father, Earnest Timmons. He departed this earthly life on Tuesday, February 10, 2026 after a sudden illness.

Greg attended Darlington County Public School and graduated from Lamar High School in 1988. He was a  very hard worker, a provider, and spent most of his career working in factories in the surrounding area including Nan Ya Plastics, Caloric, Amana, Dixie Cup and C&S Chemical. In 2022, he became an entrepreneur, owning and operating his own successful business, Greg Bines Concrete Finishing, LLC.

Greg married the love of his life, Kimberly McFadden Bines in 2017 and they celebrated their 8th Anniversary in 2025. He deeply loved his family and his greatest joy came from spending time with those he cherished most. Greg lived life with a joyful spirit. Fun, loving and generous, he never hesitated to lend a helping hand or share a laugh. He had a deep love for cars and was a proud member of Vette Riderz Corvette Car Club. Greg was also a die-hard Baltimore Ravens fan and had a true passion for playing cornhole, where his competitive spirit and love of fun always brought people together.

Those left to cherish his memories: his loving wife, Kimberly Bines of the home; his children, Tyrell Bines of Sumter, SC, TyKera Bines of Darlington, SC, Reginald Dixon of Florence, SC, and Shaquesha McFadden of Timmonsville, SC; his grandson who was his pride and joy, Tylen Morris of Darlington, SC; his parents, Willie Gene and Francena Bines of Darlington, SC, and Earnest Timmons of Florence, SC; siblings Tony (Latosha) Dolford, Angela (Robert) Dixon, Gloria Dolford (Richard) Cotton, Tracey (Patricia) Dolford, Christopher Dolford, all of Darlington, SC, Darwin Bines of Germany, Tanisha Timmons and Andrae Timmons of Florence, SC, Wanda Nelson of California and Clarissa McDonald of Texas; father and mother-in-law, Thomas and Lillie McFadden of Timmonsville, SC; sister-in-law, Jondraia (Laderrick) York of Cibolo, TX; brothers-in-law, Thomas (Cheryl) McFadden, Sr. of Timmonsville, SC and Travis (Sherrlyn) McFadden of Florence, SC; a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and special friends.
