MR. HENRY ALLISION, also known as "May" was the son of Willie Allison and Leola Eaddy Allison. He was born September 13, 1942, in Florence County. He entered into eternal rest on Saturday, January 6, 2024, at McLeod Hospice after a brief illness.
Henry was a member of St. Mark AME Church in Johnsonville, SC. He was converted at an early age. He loved the Lord and knew Him as his personal savior.
He was employed by J.P. Stevens which later was named Delta Mills until they closed. Later, he was employed with Waste Management Services. He loved to fish, hunt and ride horses. He never met a stranger and would talk to you like he knew you all your life.
Henry was preceded in death by his parents, three siblings, five sisters-in-law and four brothers-in-law.
Those left to cherish his memories are his wife Shirley M. Allison of the home; three daughters Shirley (Charles) Lewis of Florence, Irene (Vergonel) Scott of Johnsonville; and Sheila (Terry) Leonard of Florence; two sons Kevin (Malinda) Allison of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Henry Lamont (April) Allison of Johnsonville; grandchildren Gerald Mitchell, Jr., Virgil J. Scott, Avery J. Scott, Terrell J. Leonard, Zoe Leonard, Joshua Allison, Joseph Allison, Nicholas Eaddy, Jalen Eaddy, Javon Eaddy, Courtney Allison, Nevaeh Rhodes, Isaiah, Shaelynn, Nathalia and Mateo; two sisters Nettie (Ivory Joe) Eaddy and Betty Brown, both of Johnsonville; three brothers Bruce Allison and Allen (Pam) Allison both of Johnsonville and Lewis (Vermell) Brown of Muddy Creek; a host of nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law and other relatives. A very special cousin, Mrs. Vernie Ruth Gorley, and his many friends and co-workers.
