Honest Brown affectionally called "Nune", son of the late Joshua Keller Brown and Sally Brown was born on May 31, 1951 in Florence County. On Saturday, February 7, 2026 at MUSC Health Florence Medical Center in Florence, South Carolina, he answered to the call of his Savior and transitioned from this earthly home to his heavenly home not made by man hands.

He leaves to mourn and cherish his memory, his loving wife, Mrs. Barbara Brown Gause of the home; daughter, Shonte Gause of Pamplico, SC; two sons Ricco Gause of Pamplico, SC and Barry Gause of Lake City, SC; two granddaughters Zakira Bartell and Hailey Anderson; two grandsons Barry Gause, Jr., and Ketron Gause; one daughter-in-law Santana Anderson of Lake City, SC; five sisters, Mary Brown of New York, Alberta (Hoover) Gamble, Emma (Michael) McKenzie, Debra Ann Brown and Tammy Brown all of Lake City, SC; brother, Willie (Catherine) Brown of Lake City, SC; a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
