Obituary

Mr. Idris Chance Ali Cooper, "Bubba" as he was affectionately called by his family, was born on October 9, 1989 in Florence, South Carolina to Sonya Cooper McNeil and Roosevelt G. McNeil. Idris was raised by co-mom Sharon Cooper Mitchell.


He was a graduate of South Florence High School, class of 2009, where he played football. After graduation he was employed with Zazby's, Blue Beacon and Hilton Gardens.


Ali was a loving gentle giant that had a heart of gold. The love he had for his children and family was immensurable. His friendly disposition and courage will always be a source of strength for family and friends as they remember him in the days to come. Ali was an avid Dallas Cowboys and Bruins fan, great cook and loved feeding people, very compassionate and accommodating making sure everyone had their favorite dish.


He was preceded in death by his daughter Mahogany Angel Cooper, brother Islam Elijah Bonner and grandparents Annie K. Cooper, Alonzo Cooper and Walter Rembert.


He leaves to cherish his memories, children Cen'seir Cooper  and Ka'Mani Cooper; parents Sonya Cooper McNeil and Roosevelt McNeil; co-mom Sharon (Emanuel) Mitchell; three brothers Chazmin McNeil, Assyrian Brunson and Gary Minesoff; six sisters Aaliyah Cooper, Heylee Evans, Stormie Evans, Dayna Cooper, Shyda McNeil and Tyshia Thomas; significant other Nijia Brown; aunts Sheila Cooper, Rosalyn Branch and Connie Redden; uncles Alonzo Cooper, Michael (Courtney) Cooper, LaShaun Thomas, Ronald McNeil and Orlando McNeil; a host of  nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.
