Julia Marie Merritts, better known as "Rebbie", was born on November 26th, 1954 in Florence, SC to  Martha Rebecca Johnson and James Johnson Sr. Julia departed this earthly life on Friday, December 22, 2023 after an illness.

Julia was educated in the public schools of Florence County. At an early age Julia was a member at Monumental Baptist Church where she accepted Christ as her personal savior. Later on, she joined Greater Faith of Florence, SC.

Julia was preceded in death by her parents, son Abraham Cornelius Merritts III, and brother James "Jim Crow" Johnson Jr.

She Leave to cherish one son, Travis (Kymberly) Merritts; daughter-in-law Ronda    Merritts; six grandchildren, Travis Merritts Jr., Abreonna Merritts, Tyler Merritts, Caleigh Merritts, Karter Merritts, and Montrell Johnson; two aunts, Margaret (Otis) Waiters and Katherine Jackson and many special cousins, nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
