Legette "Bobby Bird" Timmons was born in Florence, SC on April 15, 1944 to the late Welth and Bertha Timmons. He peacefully departed his life and surrendered to the Lord's call on Saturday, March 14, 2026.

At an early age, he converted and became a faithful member of Mt. Rona Baptist Church in Effingham, SC.

He received some formal education from Florence County public schools, then after Wilson High School, he started working with Ed Thomas Brick Mason Construction Co. until his health declined, then he became a resident at Faith Healthcare Nursing Home, where he was loved by many because he would tell it like it "tis."

In addition to his father and mother the late Welth Timmons and Bertha Timmons, he had three brothers and two sisters who preceded him in death, John Westley, Harry Lee, John Fletcher, Louise, and Bertha Mae.

Those left to cherish his precious memories are his siblings, Deloris (Charles) Cade, Betty Judge, Maxwell (Janice) Timmons, Clara (Franklin) McInnis, Alonza (Rose) Timmons, Lonnie (Cassie) Timmons, one aunt, Barbara (Josh) Williams, one uncle Aaron (Claudia) Davis and one dedicated brother-in-law, Clarence Richardson; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friend, Victoria Cade.
