Ms. Lille Bell James, daughter of Wilbert and Marie Ruth James, was born September 17, 1959. Ms. James unexpectedly slipped away from those who adored her the most, to be with her Heavenly Father on December 9, 2023.

Ms. James was a 1977 graduate of Wilson High School. She worked as a Child Development Teacher at South Florence Baptist until she retired. Lilly was very passionate about her school children.

Ms. Lilly was loved by many, and all that she encountered. She was a loving  mother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister Virginia James, seven brothers Wilbert Jr, Don, Jon, Jimmy Lee, Roy Lee, Willie  George James, Leroy (Ricky) James, and god-daughter Charella "Mug" Grant.

Ms. James leaves to cherish her loving memories: her children Ashia James, Chimere (Kimberly) James, Joshua James, and her baby girl Pleshette (Tyquan) Johnson of the home; eleven grandchildren Kaiulani of Charleston, SC, Latron, Byron Jr, Taiyah, JaKeria, JaKauri, Tyquan, Jacoby, Chimere Ashton, NaKayla, Janaysia and May all of Florence, SC; one great-grandson Jahmere of the home; four sisters, Beatrice Taylor, Betty James, Gladys Moses all of Florence SC., Mary (Archie) Gray of Enoree, SC; one brother Melvin James of the home; aunt Beatrice Rorie of Florence, SC; sister-in-law Gloria James of New Haven, CT; two special nieces Barnita (Fred) James-Graves of Cleveland, OH and Jackie James of Florence, SC; her god-children Nola Black, Andre Ashley, George (Tiger) Thomas, and Sade (Floyd) Smith all of Florence, SC; godbrothers: Phillip (Erika) King, Larry (Tiffany) King, James (Lottie) King, Samuel King, Robert (Sarah) King, and Jerry King, and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives, and friends.
