Obituary

Mrs. Lorraine Wade Davis was born on May 10, 1956, in Harlem, NY, to Eupehinia Lee Fulmore and Harold Wade. She departed her earthly life on March 8, 2026.


Lorraine dedicated twenty years of her career to Talon Zipper Factory. She was also well recognized for her tenure at Belk, serving for over a decade as a makeup consultant at the Fashion Fair counter. Her professional journey included positions at W. Lee Flowers, Inc., and Schoolhouse BBQ in Scranton, SC, among other roles within the retail sector.


On December 1, 2012, Lorraine married James Davis, Sr., entering into a partnership defined by love, faith, and commitment.


Lorraine Wade Davis will be remembered for her compassionate nature, her spirit of service, and steadfast faith.Those whose lives she impacted recall her as an angel in times of struggle and need. Her enduring life exemplified perseverance, grace, and unwavering trust in God. Lorraine's vibrant personality shone through her many passions, including fashion, dancing, culinary delights, shopping, personal care, and her appreciation for beauty. Above all, she cherished her family—immediate, extended, and friends alike.


She leaves behind to cherish her precious memories, a devoted husband, James Davis, Sr.; her loving son, Anthony D. Wade "Bone"; treasured grandchildren Anthony D. Wade, Jr. and Aaiden Wade; additional children Andrea (Shawn) Williams, Crystal Cooper, and Renee Cooper, Ricky Cooper; five additional grandchildren; sister Michelle Andrews; brother Yarrett Wade; special niece Serniah Wade; aunt Orrie (Anthony) Greer, who nurtured Lorraine like a mother; cousin/sister Star Geer and her daughters Star Fitzgerald Greer and Xing Greer; three bonus children Melissa Mitchell, Kevin Robinson, and Kendell Robinson; special cousins James Javon Bryant, Jr., James Bryant, Sr., Mary Ann Fulmore, Teresa Fulmore; and additional brother Roosevelt Bryant, Jr.


Lorraine is also mourned by many dear friends and extended family, including Gayle Garland, Judy Jones, Vern Williams, Eleanor Katy Singletary, Debbie Dicks, Willie Green, Ella Frazier, Deloris, Dianne, Pauline (Kurtis) Adams, Mary (Selassie) Green, her coworkers from Talon, Belk, W. Lee Flowers and many others whose lives she touched.
