Today we honor Marcquis LaNorris Williamson, affectionately known as "Marc" and "Griz" a loving young man whose life ended to soon. Marcquis exemplified determination, peace, and perseverance throughout his daily life. Though we will miss him greatly, we hold on to Marc's truth that he is with God free from pain and full of eternal peace.

Marc was born September 25, 1998 in Florence, SC at McLeod Hospital to Faye DuBose and LaNorris Williamson. He made his heavenly departure on Sunday, May 3, 2026.

Marc received his formal education in Darlington County, He was a 2017 graduate of Darlington High School. Marc invested in his professional career by attending Tennessee Truck Driving School where he earned his CDL and became a professional truck driver. He was employed with Florence Dirt Works.

Marc was a hard-working young man who just wanted to be successful in life. Marc was a constant source of support, love, and encouragement to everyone around him. He was known as "The Grill Master" who enjoyed cooking. He enjoyed playing video games, listening to music, and socializing with "the crew." His hobbies were shooting his gun and traveling. Most importantly, Marc thoroughly enjoyed helping people and no one was a stranger to him.

Marc was preceded in death by his paternal great-grandmother Charlena Williamson; maternal great-grandparents Ruby (Ethel Bert) Josey and Naomi (Evans) DuBose.

Marc was a blessing to everyone who knew him. He leaves to cherish lasting memories his loving mother Faye DuBose; Father LaNorris Williamson; siblings Shaquana Douglas, Kionna Johnson, LaNasia Williamson, Marcquel Williamson, Tatiana Williamson; niece, Chanel Norris; nephew, Kentrell Norris; maternal grandparents Ethel (Kenneth) DuBose; paternal grandparents Julia Williamson and Mitchell Goodson; a special aunt Kim DuBose; an uncle Lateef Williamson; Godmothers Mary Ross and Veronica Carraway; his late godfather Lamont Edwards; a special cousin Wallace Goodson and a host of cousins, family, friends, and loved ones.
