Ms. Marsella Rena Hugee born to the union of the late Mr. Ray Hugee and Mrs. Kathleen Rena Hugee, on April 8, 1954 in Florence County. She departed this life on December 29, 2025 at the age of 71 years at MUSC Hospital in Florence, SC.

Marsella Rena Hugee was a high school graduate of Hannah-Pamplico High School. She continued her education at I.W. Canupp Center/Workshop in Lake City, SC. She was an employee of the Thrift Store in Scranton, SC until the pandemic. She later went to Gibbs Community Center until her health started to decline.

She was converted at an early age and joined Mill Branch AME Church where she was active on the Usher Board, Missionary Board, Stewardess Board #2, she sang in the Celestial Choir and a member of The Light of Pamplico Eastern Star #80.

Marsella was preceded in death by her parents Ray and Kathleen Rena Hugee; niece Solander Lewis.

She will be greatly missed and leave fond memories to be cherished by her loving brother, Ray DeBruce Hugee and her sister-in-law Harriett Lewis of Pamplico SC; her nephew Ray Delane (Michele) Hugee of Houston, TX, niece Erica (Rickey) Huges-Libson of Florence, SC; special nieces Belinda Rountree and La'Gena Dorsey; four aunts who love her dearly Netta Brooks, Renette Fosque, Barbara Sue (Elijah) Drew, Inez Hugee and one uncle Herbert (Hoover) Brown; three very special and devoted first cousins, Shirley Hugee, Linda Hugee-Taylor, and Bonita (Henry) Hugee - McFadden; a host of other relatives and friends.
