Martha Gerona Wright, affectionately called "Ronnie" was born on February 27, 1944 in Florence County to the late John Henry and Bessie Williamson. On January 11, 2025 Martha gained her wings.

Martha attended Gibbs High School in Pamplico, SC. After school Martha moved to Brooklyn, NY where she was employed at Millingboro Hospital in Plainfield, NJ.

In 1985, Martha married the love of her life Benjamin Wright.

Martha returned to South Carolina in 2012, where she rejoined St. Mark AME Church in Johnsonville, SC. She served on the Senior Usher Board and was a member of the Lady  Double Dozen. Martha was a  pillar of strength, love and unwavering support. She was a blessing to all she came in contact with.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Tracy Smith, daughter Monique Smith, eight sisters and four brothers.

Martha leaves to cherish her precious memories sons Douglas (Gladys) Smith of Eden, NC; Keith (Clarissa) Smith of Greenville, SC; sister Patricia Williamson of Timmonsville, SC; three grandchildren Bianca Smith of VA, Karon Smith and Imani Smith of NJ; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
