Ms. Mary Elizabeth Timmons was born on May 25, 1939, in Effingham, SC. She was the daughter of the late James Sudie Timmons, Sr and Mable White Timmons. "Liz", as she was affectionately called, departed this life on May 1, 2024, at the age of 84.

Liz attended school in Florence County. She was a hard worker who mostly worked a full-time and part-time job to provide for her only child, Rhonda. Liz excelled in the garment manufacturing industry as a sewing machine operator. She worked at several sewing factories in Florence. Wentworth, Yopp, Turner's and RSTB were amongst some of them. After working her full-time jobs she'd begin her shifts at her part-time jobs to include Holiday Inn, R&R Carpet & Cleaning and even John's Drive-In.

Preceding her in death her parents James Sudie Timmons and Mable White Timmons, six siblings, Jake "Bee" Timmons, Raliegh Timmons, David Timmons, Sr., Julious Timmons, Barbara Ann Mack, and James Timmons, Jr, brother-in-law Charlie Mack, four sisters-in-law, Shirley Ann Timmons, Aileen Timmons, Geraldine Timmons and Fannie Timmons.

Those left to cherish Liz's precious memories are her caring, loving and only child, daughter Rhonda Timmons-Singletary (Morris Graham); Liz has five grandchildren that she loved more than anything; Raven D. Bishop, who was also her caregiver, Braxton S. Timmons, Sr, Reginald C. Goodman, Jasmin S. Singletary and Tyler J. Singletary; a huge part of her heart belonged to her three great-grandchildren, Braxton S. Timmons, Jr. (BJ), Zion C. Goodman and London S. Simmons; two sisters Jessie (Rollie) Spears and Rachel Timmons; one brother, Legrande L. Timmons; one sister-in-law, Mary L. Timmons; also, a huge number of nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
