Obituary

Deaconess Minnie Lee Brown Timmons entered into eternal rest on Friday morning January 13, 2023. She was born on March 16, 1947 to the late Deacon Harrison and Sis. Willie Mae Davis Brown of Pamplico, SC.


Deas. Minnie attended Gibbs High School in Pamplico, SC, she graduated in 1965. Minnie was employed by Electric Motors in  Florence SC in the early 1970s. She later moved on to JP Stevens & Company in Pamplico, SC who later changed their name to Delta Mills. She was employed there for over 30 years. Upon their closing, she then became an employee at Commander Nursing Home in Florence, SC where she worked until retirement in May of 2008.


Deas. Minnie was a lifetime member of the House of God Keith Dominion in Pamplico, SC. She served on the Deacon Board, Sunday Bible School  Superintendent, was a member of the Gospel Choir and also served as the church Treasurer. She worked faithfully until her health began to decline.


She was united in Holy Matrimony to Mr. Major A. Timmons in February of 1982. To this union one child was born.


Deas. Minnie is preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Major A. Timmons; her parents Deacon Harrison and Sis. Willie Mae Brown; one brother Ben Brown; and four sisters Betty Ann Davis, Joan Brown, Sarah Ann Timmons and Birdie Mae McKever.


She leaves to celebrate her life and cherish her memory: her only child Major Theron (Crystal) Timmons of the home; two grandchildren Dennis and Skyy Timmons of the home; her brothers Fred (Patricia) Brown of Florence, SC, Ronnie (Margaret) Brown and Manuel Brown both of Scranton, SC; her sisters Marie Grant of Winston Salem, NC and Ruby Mullins of Scranton, SC; two brothers-in-law Joseph L Timmons of Hyman, SC and James (Patsy) Timmons of Florence, SC; three sisters-in-law Mary Dargan, Myrolene (Henry) Terry both of Pamplico, SC, and Gloria Wineglass of Columbia, SC; one godson Danzel Williams of Scranton, SC and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
