Lillie Mae, daughter of the late Pinckney and Lestory McAllister was born September 9, 1937. She departed this life on Tuesday, November 26, 2024 at McLeod Hospice, Florence, South Carolina.
Lillie Mae received her education in Florence County and was a member of Olive Grove Baptist Church in her youth. After relocating to Washington, D.C. she became a member of Greater Mount Zion Baptist Church and later transferred her membership to Spirit of Peace Baptist Church, Maryland. She returned to Florence and joined Majority Missionary Baptist Church and would often visit Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church.
Lillie Mae was preceded in death by her parents, stepmother Ethel McAllister husband William Edmonds, daughter Deborah Edmonds, four brothers James McAllister, Marvin McAllister, Earnest Johnson, Ulysses McAllister, two sisters Mammie Timmons and Annie McKever and one grandchild Tatianna Edmonds.
Lillie Mae is survived by two daughters and five sons Sherral (Levern), Martinae Patrice, Charlie Darnell, William Edward II, Marvin Reginald (Linda), Antwan Carrotion (Chantell), and Isaiah Oscar; two sisters, Ellean Burch and Margarette Shelby; sister-in-law Maggie McAllister; dedicated extended family members Darren and Melissa Reed; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many close friends.
