Robert Henry Boatwright, Jr., affectionately known as Junior or Uncle Jr., was born March 8, 1949 in Florence County to Robert and Katie D. Boatwright Sr. He was called to his eternal home on January 19, 2024.

Robert received his education in the Florence County Public School System. After school Robert moved to Bridgeport, CT where he was employed with Saint Vincent Hospital for over 20 years. He retired as a Kitchen Tech. Robert was always willing to help out whenever he could. He enjoyed people, never met a stranger and shared a kind word to those he met.

Upon his return to Florence, SC, he met and married the love of his life, Bernice Boatwright.

He was preceded in death by his wife Bernice Boatwright, parents Robert and Katie D. Boatwright, Sr., siblings Nolie Davis, Charles Boatwright, Lory Daniels, Robert Boatwright, James Boatwright and Fred C. Boatwright.

Left to cherish fond memories, two sisters Safaronia Pendergrass and Jennette Woodberry both of Florence, SC; one brother Alfred (Carrie) Boatwright of Stratford, CT; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
