On Monday, January 23, 2023, God called Robert Edward Lee to eternal rest. Most people knew Robert as "BUBBIE". He was never the quiet type of man. He was the talk out loud, direct, and free spirit person. Robert loved his family. He may have not been the "traditional' type of husband, father, brother, uncle, or friend. He had his own special way to show you his love.

Robert was born on January 6, 1956, to the late Henry and Luenez Lee in Portsmouth, VA.

He was preceded in death by his mother, father, two brothers James "Donnie" Lee and Ronnie Lee, brother-in-law Isaiah Smalls; grandson A'shon Hicks, and two nieces Victoria Flowers and Christa Lee.

Robert was joined in holy matrimony to Janet Hanna Lee. This union was blessed with one daughter, Octavia Sharrae (Eric) Smith of Florence, SC. He was also blessed with five additional children Shaylona Lee of Florence, SC, Javan Dipasalegne of Newark NJ, Robert, Nathan and Dineisha Dipasalegne of Richmond, VA.

Robert's additional family left to cherish long-lasting memories three sisters Georgianna Smalls of Cross, SC, Mary Flowers of Hemingway, SC, Leslie Lee of Morrow, GA; one sister-in-law Josephine Lee of CT; ten grandchildren; two close friends and cousins; Ronald Johnson and Central Thompkins, a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and many dear friends.
