Mr. Roosevelt Washington Jr. was 59, and departed this life Wednesday, December 14, 2022 in Washington, SC.

Services are scheduled to be held 12 noon Friday, December 23, 2022 at The House of Refuge Church, 404 Coker Ave Hartsville, SC.

Roosevelt Washington Jr was born on July 7, 1963 in Darlington County, SC to Sammy Lee  Humbert and Mary "Mamie" Lee Washington-Wright. He was reared in the home of his grandparents George Jr and Rosa McCray-Washington.

He attended school in Darlington County and graduated from Lamar High School class of 1983. While attending high school "Roosevelt' was a good athlete in football and drove school buses while attending school.

After graduating high school "Velt" enlisted in the United States Army and served his years of service. He served his country and returned to Washington, DC where he learned and mastered a trade and became a Plumber. He would say the best plumber in the WORLD! He was proud to say that he was a master plumber. Roosevelt believed in hard work and being able to provide for yourself.

He leaves behind to cherish his legacy, two sons Nigel Kennardo Thomas of Timmonsville, SC and Quinton Lamar Froehlich Sr. of Washington, DC; two grandchildren Quinton L. Froehlich Jr and Avery Reid; four sisters Samella Wright, Shondell Wright,

Sharonda (Omar) Gabriel all from Hartsville, SC and Judith Kate Green from Timmonsville, SC;  two brothers Jerell (Betty) Wright of Hartsville, SC and Abdual Washington from  Charlotte, NC; a cousin who grew up with him as a sister Fannie M. Kerson; three aunts  Ruby Cannon of Upper Marlboro, MD, Azalea Cabbagestalk of New York and Mary  Brown of Hartsville, SC and a host of other family and friends.
