Mr. Rufus "Poo" Palmer, the son of Clifton and Louis Palmer was born September 5, 1967 in Florence, South Carolina. He entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, July 30,2024 at MUSC after a brief illness.

"Poo" as he was lovingly called by family and friends attended Wilson High School, where he played triple drum, and a baseball player for the Boys and Girls Club. He was also a very devoted Philadelphia Eagles fan. He was employed by Florence School District One where he was a maintenance man for twenty-five years.

He was proceeded in death by his parents Clifton and Louis Palmer and  his brother Roscoe "Dick" King.

He Leaves to cherish his memories, son Rufus Marquez Henicks; three sisters Hattie(Ben) McLaughlin, Willie "Penny" Peguese and Diane (Sam) Chandler; two brothers Randy (Monya) Palmer and Fredrick Palmer; ten nephews; two nieces; a host of other relatives and friends.
