Ms. Saundra Lousie West was born on November 7, 1950 in Brooklyn, New York to the late Oliver West and Miram Shepard Davis. In the early morning of April 12, 2025 while resting  peacefully in her home, she transitioned and began her journey to be with our heavenly father for eternity.

Saundra became an alumnus of Ruckers University by earning a Bachelor of Science. Afterwards, she enlisted in the United States Air Force and completed four years of honorably

military service. Compelled to continue working with veterans,  she sought and found a position working for the  Department  of  Veteran Affairs helping military veterans for more than twenty years until she retired in 2016.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Stephon West.

Left to cherish her love and memories are her sisters Ellen (Thomas) Catrell , Yvonne Ballard, Linda Murray, Veronica &  Guy Sien, Gwendolyn Eaddy and Tommy Jones of the home; thirty nieces and nephews; thirty-five great nieces and nephews; special friend and prayer partner Miss Thelma Ludd; a host of other loving family members.
