Thomas Lee Hickson was born February 16, 1958, to Isadore and Francis Hickson. He departed this earthly life on September 20, 2024 due to an illness under the care of Prisma Health, Sumter, SC.

He attended Florence District One Schools. He retired from Carolina Infrastructure and Development, Inc., in West Columbia, SC.

Thomas accepted Christ as his personal savior.

Thomas loved his family, job and looked forward to mingling with friends and watching Westerns daily after a long, hard day of work. He also had a love for gardening and sharing his "hot peppers" with others. His favorite football sports team was the "Washington Commanders".

Thomas was preceded in death by his parents, his grandson, sister Caletha McElveen and brother James Allen Hickson.

He leaves behind to cherish his precious memories, Toshia (Carl) Jones of Florence, SC and Tyler Hickson of Lake City, SC; eight grandchildren whom he loved them all unconditionally; siblings Carrie Dell (Jace) Green, Robert (Laura) Hickson, Mary Helen (Woodrow) McElveen, John L. (Mary) Hickson, Mary Frances Ham, Carl Hickson, Johnny Lee Hickson, Jeanette (Kenneth) McCray and Carolyn (Carl) Taylor; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws to cherish his memory forever.
