Tony O. Davis, the son of Mr. John D. Davis and the late Mrs. Eula Mae Davis departed this life Thursday, August 14, 2025 after an illness. He was born on August 12, 1964.
He was educated through the Florence County Public school system at Hannah Pamplico High school and graduated in 1982. Tony served in the United States Navy, worked at Wellman, Inc. in Johnsonville, SC many years as well as at Thomas Mack trucks, Florence School District 1, and helped underpin mobile homes.
Tony was preceded in death by his mother, Eula Mae Davis, and brother, Thomas O. Davis.
Tony was very active in his community as a youth and adult participating in the Vica and various clubs and organizations such as brick masonry during high school. He joined St. Luke Lodge# 171 in his adult years. Tony loved people, had a heart of gold, and showed love by giving his time, self, and resources to those in need. He was selfless, lively, and made everyone who knew and came in contact with him laugh. He was thoughtful, kind, lovable, and sensitive. He was a caring husband, son, father, brother, uncle, relative, friend, and an avid Dallas Cowboys fan.
Tony leaves to cherish his memory his loving and devoted wife Cathy Davis; two daughters, Ariel A. Davis of Greenville, SC and Cheetara Williams of Florence, SC; four grandchildren, Azariya Jenkins, Aliyah Mcclary, Sa'Miyah Williams, and Noah Williams; his father, John D.Davis of Johnsonville, SC; two sisters, Tanya (Johnathan) Myers of Pamplico, SC and Tabatha Davis of Johnsonville, SC; three brothers-in-law, Allen (Allean) Williams of Effingham, SC; John Edwards of Florence, SC and Steve Hampton of Timmonsville, SC; two nieces, Janiya Myers of Pamplico, SC and Mikayla Emmen of Johnsonville, SC; an honorary brother Michael Haynes of Sumter, SC; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and loving friends.
