Mr. Tony Michael Smoot better known as Mike was born in Florence, SC on June 26, 1992 to Miranda Smoot and  Michael James. He departed this life on Saturday, January 7, 2023.

Mike was educated in the Florence One School District. He later became a Motivational Speaker to the youth.

Mike was preceded in death by brother Montagus Smoot, grandfathers Thomas "Mel" Garrett and Tony James; great grandmothers Gertrude Perry and Fanny Green; uncles Savalis Smoot, Terry James and Sherby James; aunt Joann Brown.

Mike leaves to cherish his memories his mother Miranda Smoot; father Michael (Ella) James; grandmothers Aletha Smoot and Emma James; sisters Jemiller Smoot, Shynequal (Linwood Freeman) Smoot and Makayla James; brothers Josh Smoot, Al McAllister, Irion Manning and Damonte Daniels; aunts Felicia Brewer, Karen Smalls, Kesha Smoot, Lashunda (Marcus Ervin) Smoot, BonDeidra Smoot, Melaine Garrett, Rosa Ellis, Hester "Tootie" Whaley, Jannether (John) Hampton, Precilla Perry, Althea (Tony) Jackson, Mamie James and Patricia Johnson; uncles Roy Smoot, Malik (Shamya Graves) Garrett, Billy Malloy, Tony James, Larry James, Fitzgerald James; five nieces; two nephews and a host of family and friends.
