Tyrone Adrian Silas Wright, son of Walter Henry Crisp, Jr., and the late Phyllis Wright, peacefully passed away on March 12, 2025, in Florence, SC. Born and raised in Timmonsville, SC, Tyrone was a proud member of Mary Magdalene Baptist Church in Lamar, SC, where he grew up surrounded by faith and love.
He received his education in the public schools of Florence County, graduating from Timmonsville High School. Tyrone later attended Florence-Darlington Technical College, where he earned his business management degree.
Tyrone's journey led him to Hartsville, SC, where he moved with his wife, Lula Mae, and their children, where he resided until his passing. Known for his infectious humor and joyful spirit, Tyrone was truly the "Life of a Jokester." He was employed at the City of Florence Public Works and was an active member of Mount Zion AME Church in Florence, SC.
Music was Tyrone's passion—gospel and jazz were at the heart of his soul. He was a talented musician, playing keys, bass guitar, drums, and more. Tyrone was a proud member of the Pearls of Faith and Saxxyz Keyz Band. Additionally, he was a DJ and owner of Simple Quality Entertainment, always pursuing his love for music and entertainment.
Tyrone was preceded in death by his mother, Phyllis Wright-McCullough, grandparents, Elbert and Susie Wright and Walter Henry Crisp, Sr. and Rose Crisp, sister, Candie Wright, aunt, Rosa Wright, and his daughter, Niyia Fleming.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife of seven years, Lula Mae Ellis Wright; children, Zacharias Martez Silas Wright of Orangeburg, SC, Tyadrian Phyllis Wright and Christian Tyrone Silas Wright both of Hartsville, SC, Tyler Jovon Silas Wright of McBee, SC, and Micheal Fleming of Atlanta, GA; and his beloved grandchildren, Autumn Makenzi Johnson and Micheal A. Fleming; father Walter Henry Crisp, Jr.; raised as his own son Rodney (Qushanda) Allen; Tyrone was lovingly raised by his uncles and aunts after the passing of his mother, who became his siblings, Elbert (Jacqueline) Wright, Charles (Ruth) Wright, Traci Wright Williamson, Bernadette (Derrick) Echols; mother-in-love Emma Bess; sisters-in-love Vicki (Mike) Lee and Erica Jackson; he will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
May Tyrone's legacy of love, laughter, and music continue to inspire all who knew him.
