Early Friday morning, January 31, 2025, Whirlena Eagleton Williams heard the voice of Jesus say; come unto me & rest; she answered the call and made the journey home to be with her heavenly father and the rest of her family and friends. Whirly was born on August 5, 1956 in Florence County. She was the fourth child of the late Earl & Louise Hicks Eagleton.
Whirly was educated in the public schools of Florence County. She graduated from Wilson High School class of 1974. Then she further her education at Florence-Darlington Technical College. She was employed with Bashas Dress Shop, Florence Morning News, Big Lots and Florence Regional Airport.
At an early age Whirly was converted, baptize and joined Spring Branch Baptist Church where she sung on the Sunbeam Choir.
In addition to her parents, she was proceeded in death by her husband Robert Williams, and her sister Cynthia C. Eagleton.
Her survivors include her son Robert Jr. and daughter Angel of the home, grand babies Jada, Ezekiel, Dallas and "great grand on the way"; sister Chilton Eagleton; aunts Louise E. Belin, Frances Eagleton, Shirley Eagleton, & Earlene Hicks; uncles Alfred Hicks; great uncle Kenneth Spears; nieces Mekia (Terry) Self, Shanta (Leroy) Murphy; nephew Lorenzo Eagleton; great nieces and nephews Tavon Akeeli, Mekhi, and Temperance; a host of other close relatives and friends.
