William P. Lester III, a loving father, a caring son and friend to all he met, entered into eternal rest at the age of thirty-seven on October 2, 2023 at MUSC Health Florence Medical Center. Born on December 17, 1985  in Florence, he made his grand entrance  into the world, son of William P. Lester, Jr. and Sally D. Lester.

He received his formal education in Florence District One, a graduate of South Florence High School class of 2005. William continued his education at Virginia College and received his Business  degree in 2016.

William affectionally called "Will D" by family and friends, absolutely loved his children and mother. His favorite color was red. In his spare time he enjoyed playing cards, watching football and being the "Life of the party".

He leaves to cherish his loving memories his children Miracle Lester, William McCullough, Zackeus Lester; his loving parents Sally D. Lester and William P. Lester, Jr.; sisters Felicia B. Brunson and Raven A. Lester; brothers Marcus Dewitt and Curtis Wilson; loving grandmother Evelyn D. Oliver; special niece Miley A. Lester; special nephew Damarion D. Douglas; a loving god mother Jannie Goodman, a host of aunts, uncles and other relatives and friends.
