Parrott Jr.
August 27, 1947 – January 29, 2023
William F. Parrott, affectionately known as "Bobby," was born to the late Mr. William F. Parrott, Sr. and the late Mrs. Annie Lee Cooper and Robert Cooper. He was reared by his maternal grandparents, Mr. Hazel and Lula Murphy. He was born August 27, 1947, in Darlington, South Carolina. He transitioned into eternal rest Sunday, January 29, 2023, surrounded by his children and grandchildren.
Bobby received his primary education in the public schools of Darlington County. In his early adulthood, he relocated to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Having a love for working and learning new things, Bobby spent many years in the city taking advantage of meaningful career opportunities. Particularly, Bobby retired from La-Z-Boy upon his relocation back to South Carolina. Retirement was not enough for Bobby and because he was considered a "jack of all trades," he found a love for carpentry. He completed various carpeting projects across the city after relocation and spent much of his time working at McLeod Hospital.
Bobby married his childhood sweetheart, Mrs. Betty Jean Brown, July 30, 1966, in Elkton, Maryland.
Bobby enjoyed cooking, dancing, watching his favorite football team, the Philadelphia Eagles, spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Bobby was preceded in death by his birth parents, grandparents, and additionally, his brother Anthony Cooper, and sister Hazel Lorraine Cooper.
Bobby leaves to cherish wonderful memories: his wife of 56 years, Mrs. Betty Jean Parrott; four children, Mrs. Kia (Edward) Douglas, Mrs. Yolanda (Nybius) Harrell, Ms. Krystal Anderson (Bernard Cooper), and his only son, Mr. Robert Anderson (Kedra Moore); 11 grandchildren, Kianna, Alexis, Zya, Rashaud, Denez, Rashaun, Lauryn, Kanye', Zion, Kristopher, and Keyerra; 4 great-grandchildren, Kaleb, Kerrigan, Kelsi, and Sage; two brothers, Ronald (Doletha) Parrott of Darlington, South Carolina and Elder Allen Wayne (Barbara) Parrott of Ladson, South Carolina; one aunt, Laura Parrott (Clarence) Preston; special children raised as his own, Rosa (Dallas) Daniels, Perry (Geishala) Anderson, and Romont Anderson; special friends, Robert and Mary McMillan; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, additional family, and friends.
