Alduh Williams Obituary

Alduh Gerod "Pooh Bear" Williams, 42, of Pamplico, SC, passed away on November 3, 2023. He was born on January 17, 1981, in Florence, South Carolina, to the late David Williams and Georgia H. Williams.

Gerod was a beloved son, fiancé, father, grandfather, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Gerod was known for his infectious sense of humor and his ability to tell vivid and entertaining stories that would leave his listeners in tears of  laughter. He had a big heart and once you became a part of his life, you became family. His nickname, "Pooh Bear," was given to him as an infant due to his adorable chubby cheeks.

Gerod attended Hannah-Pamplico Elementary and  Middle School, as well as Hannah-Pamplico High School. He valued education and always encouraged his nieces and nephews to pursue their academic goals.

Gerod found solace and community in his faith and worshipped at Mt. Zion Baptist Chapel Church in Pamplico, SC.

In his career, Gerod worked as a general laborer in various jobs and most recently served as a security officer for Honda. He took pride in his work and was dedicated to providing for his loved ones.

He found joy in spending time with his family and friends. Gerod cherished the moments he shared with his fiancé, Necilla Eaddy, and his two daughters, Ja'Kera Britt and Janiyah Britt. He was also blessed to have seen the birth of his first grandson, Kaiden Sparks-Griffin and leave them with memories to cherish for a lifetime. Gerod is also survived by his mother, Georgia H. Williams, and his two sisters, Sharri (Jackie) Wilkes and Chalawn (Wayne) Majors. He will be lovingly remembered by his stepchildren, Leticia Eaddy, Keydirra Weaver, and Quantavius Anderson. Gerod had a special bond with his great-aunts, Helen Munnerlyn and Sadie Smith, who served as more like grandmothers to him. He is also survived by his aunts Marie Cain, Gwendolyn James, and Eileen Alexander, as well as his uncles Theodore Hunter and Roland Jenkins. Pooh Bear has a host of cousins and friends who will forever keep his memory alive.
