Armondo J. Vickers Obituary

Armondo Jose Vickers was born on November 11, 1980, in Marion, South Carolina to Cheryl Vickers and Armando Nortez, Sr. He departed this earthly life on September 16, 2025.

He graduated from Wilson High School, class of 2000. Armondo, also known as Joseph, was always a loyal individual. He was headstrong, true to himself and his goals, a natural born leader. He created a beautiful life when he dedicated himself to serving his country, joining the United States Marine Corp. He had served twenty years as an aviation specialist, retiring as Gunnery Sergeant in December of 2020. Throughout that time, he also achieved his Masters in Business Administration, as well as Master of Arts at Campbell University. After retiring, he became a Quality Manager at Boeing in Ridley Park, Pennsylvania. Though Armondo may have faced several trials and tribulations throughout his life, he has never lost his faith in God, or his family. He’s worth his weight in gold, now and forever.

In 2013, he met his wife Rinabeth. Together they shared six years in marriage, filled with devotion, partnership, and the purest form of love. Their life together consisted of raising a family, building a home filled with time shared, traveling the world, and nurturing one another.

Armondo was preceded in death by his mother, Cheryl Vickers.

He will forever be cherished by whom he leaves behind, his beautiful wife, Rinabeth Vickers; two daughters, Sahrena (Clifford) Campbell, Amiya (Malik) Mcauley; three sons, Xiao Vickers, Armondo Vickers, Jr and Amari Vickers; fathers, Armando Nortez, Sr, and Bobby Anderson; two brothers, Kelly Vickers and Frederick Vickers; a dear friend, Jarvis Sturdivant; a host of cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
