Chanel R. Goss Obituary

In 2019, Chanel joyfully welcomed her first grandchild, Jiselle Ashley Mann, earning the endearing title of "Honey." They recently spent a memorable spring break picking strawberries and embarking on day trips to Myrtle Beach with Jahmari. The bond between them was sewn together through their weekly FaceTime sessions where they would update each other on their latest adventures, singing and talking about what was on their dinner menu.

Her sun-kissed beauty, bright white smile and island touch made her a vibrant soul who danced through life to the beat of Reggae music keeping her connection to her Jamaican heritage. She had a natural  ability to spark conversations with strangers, always extending a helping hand to neighbors and those in her community.

Chanel was preceded by her beloved Grandmother, Clarice Evadine Karjohn, and her sister in-law Melinda Goss Avent. She is survived by her loving husband, Mark Goss; her cherished children, Ji’Brayah Chanai, Jaylin Ti’Von, Jahmari Lee, and stepson Rashod Walters; one granddaughter, Jiselle Ashley Mann; her devoted mother, Doreen Marson; her sisters, Nichelle Spyke and DeAnne Mohammed; her brother, Andre Harrington (Shalea). Sister and brothers-in-law Tawanna Gross, Shawn Goss, Charles “Chucky” Fennell (Renee), Tonya Fears (Shareef), Dewayne Goss (Lakeisha), Craig Avent; as well as a host of adoring aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends from every corner of the globe.

While Chanel’s physical presence may be gone, her spirit, energy, and laughter will forever dance through our lives. She taught us to live boldly, love fiercely, and always find time for a good two-step.
