Claria P. Fulton Obituary

Claria Pigett Fulton entered into eternal rest peacefully on Tuesday, January 23, 2024, after battling an illness. Claria was not only a mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, she was a listening ear and friend to all. Anyone could walk over for a meal, conversation, or laugh. 


Born on September 13, 1947, in Florence, SC, Claria was the daughter of Marion Pigett, Sr. and Lela Davis Pigett.


She attended Florence Public Schools. She worked for Florence General Hospital for a number of years, then began working for Applebee’s Neighborhood Grill & Bar where she retired.


She was proceeded in death by her parents, one daughter Joyce Ann Pigett, two sisters Mary F. Ford and Jenny Ruth Pigett, six brothers Pompey Pigett, Spencer Pigett, Marion Pigett, Liston Pigett, Larry Pigett and William Pigett.


Left to cherish her memories are her husband John Paul Fulton, Sr. of Lake City, SC; three sons John Paul Fulton, Jr., Curtis Lee Fulton & Mark Anthony Fulton; four daughters Mary A. Fulton, Willa T. Fulton, Brenda F. Fulton, & Betty L. Fulton; eighteen grandchildren, forty-one great grandchildren, fifteen great-great grandchildren; three sisters Betty McCormick, Lela White and Sarah (Alton) McElveen; one brother Eugene Pigett, Sr.; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
