Leroy Johnson also affectionally known as “Nunkie” to family and friends was born on June 1, 1942, in Kingstree, South Carolina to the late Roy Johnson and Daisy McFadden-Johnson-Singletary. He entered into eternal rest on March 26, 2024, at Florence Mcleod Hospice House.

He attended Savannah Grove Elementary School and later received his GED from Poynor Adult Education Center.

In 1967 he married the love of his life, the late Patricia Ann Smoot -Johnson. To this union, one child was born Tina Johnson – Anderson.

He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, eight brothers and three sisters.

In eternal remembrance, left to cherish his precious legacy is his daughter Tina (Stanley) Anderson; one special granddaughter Kir’tara Green; one brother Marion (Helen) Johnson; two sisters Elizabeth Lighty and Bertha Lee (Jessie) Dukes; special sisters-in-law who he loved like his sisters Ida Johnson, Cynthia (Herbert) Deas, Janice (Alphonso) Brooks, Dorothy Jean( Leroy) Hart; four brothers-in-law Tyronne (Rolonda) Talleferrio Smoot, Edward Earl Smoot and Stanley (Wendy) McClain; he is loved by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
