Mr. Deandre Demetris Lyde, a loving son, brother, uncle, and friend departed his earthly life on Monday, February 16, 2026. He was born in Florence County on January 27, 2003. He is the son of Deandrea Lyde and Petual Johnson. 

At the age of 12, Deandre was baptized at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church in Florence, SC. 

Deandre attended public school in Florence County and obtained his GED in 2025 at Allendale Correctional Institution. 

Deandre was known for his big heart, sense of humor and the way he could light up any room he walked into. He enjoyed  music, spending time with his family and friends and he never missed an opportunity to make those around him laugh. Deandre loved his mom, dad, siblings, niece, nephews, family and friends. 

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother Shirley Lyde and maternal grandmother Rebecca C. Johnson. 

He is survived by his parents, Deandrea Lyde of South Gardiner, ME and Petual Johnson of Florence, SC; three sisters: Natori (Lorenzo) Johnson-Roary of Darlington, SC, Diamondrea Brunson, Ticora Ross, and one brother Darreon Lyde all of Florence, SC; one niece NaiLani Roary; two nephews Landen and Logan Roary all of Darlington, SC; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, family and friends.
