Dedrick L. Cameron, 53 of Florence, SC entered into eternal rest on March 9, 2023 at McLeod Regional Medical Center. He was born in Lake City, SC son of Cynthia F. Cameron and the late Harry Kelley Cameron.
A graduate of Lake City High School, Dedrick also attended and studied at the University of South Carolina and Francis Marion University. He served in the United States Navy as an Operations Specialist serving aboard the USS NICHOLSON (DD-982) homeported at Naval Charleston, SC. He founded Sinetic Sports success in motion and held many jobs throughout his lifetime including working at Florence County Tax Assessor’s Office. After completing college Dedrick pledged Kappa Alpha Psi through the grad chapter and faithfully served his fraternity and his community of family and friends.
A devoted and loving husband, father, son, brother, nephew, god father and uncle Dedrick loved fishing and being on his boat. He loved sports, family and gathering with friends at his home where there were many Thanksgiving, Christmas and summer outings. He was also known as a die-hard Dallas Cowboys and USC football fan. He loved his sports and was very competitive. You could always count on him to have a joke to tell and a prank call to dial, better known as nephew “Tommie.”
He was predeceased by his father Harry Kelley Cameron; his maternal grandparents Lillian B. Graham and Richard H. Feagins; paternal grandfather Praelow Mid Cameron; and his mother-in-law Ruth D. Gainey.
Dedrick L. Cameron was beloved and will be missed tremendously. He is survived by his devoted and loving wife Lumetric Gainey Cameron, his two beautiful daughters, Maddison and London Cameron of the home his “Charlie’s An gels” his mother Cynthia Feagins Cameron of Florence, SC; his paternal grandmother Allie Christine Cameron of Lake City, SC; his brother Tito (Corsica) Cameron of Florence, SC; his sisters Christy Cameron of Lake City, SC; Detra Cameron; Polena Wilson both of Florence, SC; special father-in-law George Gainey of Pamplico, SC; three special god children; Destiny Davis of Pamplico, SC, Maddison Dixon of Columbia, SC and Da’Myia Davis of Pamplico, SC; a special friend and devoted sister-in-law Karen Martinez of Scranton, SC; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
