There comes a time in everyone’s life when they must leave the ones they love. That time came Sunday March 26, 2023 for Mr. Derrick Wilson after an illness.
Mr. Derrick Wilson was the son of the late Isaac Sr. and Shirley P. Wilson. He was born February 21, 1967 in Florence, SC .
Derrick attended the public schools of Florence County. He graduated from West Florence High School, class of 1985 where he played football along with other sports. He worked as a cook for several restaurants in the surrounding counties. Ruth’s Drive Inn in Hartsville, SC was his last employer before his health declined. Derrick loved three things dearly, his children, grilling and the Dallas Cowboys.
Derrick was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Sandra Wilson and Gwendolyn Orange, brother Isaac Wilson Jr., twin grandsons Nolan and Noah Shird and special friend Sheila Cusaac.
He leaves to cherish his precious memories: children Myron (Keoshia) Harrison, LaCharnise Cusaac and DaCara Wilson, Alexandria Luckey, Deriayna Wilson, Loren Wilson and Carter Wilson; ten grandchildren Amirah, ZarJuhnae, Kemora, Demazaliere, Semaj, Khi’auni, KuRheem, KuRhenzo, Kyriah and DaKhari; god daughter, Kierra Robinson ; sisters Shirley AnnWilson and Evangelist Katrina Wilson; brothers Arnold Wilson and Kenric Wilson; aunts Buelah Pinckney and Lillian Lewis; uncle Ronnie Pinckney; four very special women in his life, Julia Harrison, Miriam Burgess, Linda Brown and Aundrea Stevenson; special friends Calvin Miller, Brian Legette, Chris Faison and Andy McCall; a host of nieces, nephews, other family and close friends.
