Doreen Elizabeth Cox was born October 10, 1959 in Brooklyn, New York to parents James and Regina Miller. She entered into eternal rest on February 19, 2025.

Doreen had a very happy childhood surrounded by her parents and siblings. Once she graduated Centereach High School in New York, she moved to Florida to pursue a degree at Florida Technical University. After several years she then relocated to South Carolina with her children.

Doreen was preceded in death by her parents Regina and James Miller as well as her brother Jimmy Miller and her oldest son James Edward Banfill.

She is survived by her children Regina May Banfill and Joseph Michael Banfill; grandchildren Tiajuanna C. Campbell, Eunisha M. Campbell, and Kaleigha A. Brown; great grandchildren Kaylen Kennedy, Kaiser Miller, and Mekhi Chandler; three siblings Robyn Kite, Dorthy Buglino and Patricia Norden; a host of other relatives and friends.
