Earnest Lee Homes was born on May 25,1955 in Effingham SC to Willie Benjamin Holmes and Amy Singleton Holmes. He entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, March 26,2024.

He was educated in the Florence School District.

He was preceded in death by his wife Johnnie Mae Holmes, parents Willie Benjamin Holmes and Amy Singleton-Holmes, brother Willie Holmes, Jr., and sister Queen Ester Brown.

He leaves to cherish his memory children Twanetha Holmes (Dwight) and Earnest  Levern (Martazea) Holmes both of Florence, SC, Amy Marie Holmes of Orangeburg, SC; fifteen grandchildren and four great grandchildren; seven beloved siblings Mildred McKenney, Gertrude Woodbury, James Holmes, Vera Holmes all of Florence, SC, Annie Williams, Geneva Brown and Doris Holmes all of Florida; a lifetime friend, his last living aunt Luberta Brown, a multitude of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
