Gerald Williams was called home to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 27, 2025. Born on January 17, 1961, in Florence County, South Carolina, Gerald was the beloved son of the late Eddie Gee and Catherine Williams.
Throughout his life, Gerald was known as a hard-working man whose love for his family and friends was evident to all who knew him. Gerald dedicated over twenty-five years to his career as a truck driver, demonstrating a tireless work ethic and commitment. At home, he found joy in preparing large, delicious meals, bringing loved ones together around the table. His generosity and warmth created lasting memories for his family and friends.
In addition to his parents, Gerald was preceded in death by his daughter, Jamie Echols.
He leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion cherished by his wife, Cathy Williams; three daughters: Vanessa Daniels, Leslie (Amos) Richardson, and Whitney Echols; two sons: Joey Echols and Gerald Williams Jr.; and a special son, Bruce Dock, whom Gerald welcomed into his heart as family. His influence and love continue through his eleven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; Gerald is also survived by his brother, Eddie Gee Jr.; his sister, Phoebe Williams; two uncles: Willie J. Williams and Bobby Williams; a host of many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
