Gloria Dean Gee Hall, was called home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 13, 2024, at 10:00 PM in East Orange, New Jersey. Gloria was born on July 22, 1941, in Florence County, South Carolina, to the late Theodore "Blide" and Venus Hawkins Gee.
Gloria gave her life to Christ at an early age and became a devoted member of Meadow Prong Baptist Church in Florence, South Carolina. Upon relocating to New Jersey, she joined Liberty Temple Universal Church in Orange, New Jersey, where she continued her walk with the Lord.
In addition to her parents, Gloria was preceded in death by one son, four sisters: Annie Mae Williams, Lewillar Paul, Love Lee Williams Shirley Gee, and six brothers: Fred "Bub," Lewis, Willie "Bossie," Bennie, Wardell, and Eddie Lee Gee.
Gloria leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Kim Alexis (Robert) Eaddy of East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania; three grandchildren Shakena Eaddy and Charity (Cedric) Williams of Florence, SC, and John (Jasmine) Williams of Elgin, SC; seven great-grandchildren Ra’shaun, Jermaine, Zy’Quan, Ty’sheek, Bri’elle, Kassidy, and Isabelle; one brother Henry Edward (Marvene) Gee of Jacksonville, NC; one sister Pastor Thomasina Gee Dreher of Florence, SC; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Gloria was also blessed with a lifelong friendship with Mrs. Diane Stewart of Orange, NJ, and will be lovingly remembered by the oldest living member of the Gee family, cousin Rebecca Friday.
Gloria’s faith, love for family, and strength in life will continue to inspire all who knew her. As the scripture from 2 Timothy 4:7-8 says: "I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith; henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me that day:"
