Gloria Denise Wright was born on December 15, 1956 in Florence, South Carolina. She was the fourth child born to Clara Boatwright-Greene and Swillie Singletary. She departed her earthly life on Monday, August 18, 2024.

Gloria attended Wilson High School. She was employed with Donut Diner for many years until she moved her career to Washington Mutual Security into her retirement days.

She was a member of Mount Rona Baptist Church.

Gloria never met a stranger. She was the most loving and  friendly person you ever met. She invited anyone into her home. Even though she raised her own six kids, she really never stop raising kids. Until her dying day, she was still raising other people kids and helping out people at all cost. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.  

In addition to her loving son Russell King, she will be laid to rest with her parents Clara Boatwright and Swillie Singletary, as well. 

Gloria left behind five children Tyrone (TK) King, Kenny King, Angie H. King, Aggie Lee Holloman, Wilhelmina Denise Wilson; twenty-one grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; six siblings Lutricia "Ann" Boatwright-Edwards, Betty Wright, Swillie Wright, Cathy Wright, Lawson Cottingham, and Geneva Cottingham; best friends Emily Brown, Boot and Angie Freedom; a host of other relatives and loving friends.
