JaKari NyJurel Doctor was born on November 12, 2009 to LaShonda Doctor and Roy Draughn in Florence, SC. “Jurel” as he was affectionately known, was called to eternal rest on Wednesday, September 18, 2024.

“Jurel” received his education at Johnsonville High School in Johnsonville, SC.

He was a member of Unity Missionary Baptist Church in Johnsonville under the leadership of Reverend John H. Wilcher.

To know “Jurel” is to love him. He was very big on family which he loved so much. He strived daily to be the best son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin and/or friend that he could be. 

“Jurel” was preceded in death by his maternal grandfathers James Doctor and Charles Williams; paternal grandmother Barbara Session; aunt Jeannette Draughn; uncles Charles Canteen, Jimmy Canteen, Herbert McFadden and William Doctor. 

He leaves loved ones behind to cherish his memories, his  loving mother LaShonda Doctor of the home; a caring father Roy Draughn of Florence, SC; six brothers Javier   Doctor, Jaheim Doctor, Ja’Von Legette all of the home, Romello Draughn of Hemingway, SC, Royavis Draughn of Johnsonville, SC, Quavious Draughn of Conway, SC; six sisters JaKaria Doctor (his twin) of the home, Caitlyn Nesmith and Calyn Nesmith of Stuckey, SC, Saroya Draughn of Johnsonville, SC, Teonna Draughn of Columbia, SC and Roy’Aisha Draughn of Conway, SC; maternal grandparents Remell (James) Hemingway, Sylvia (Charles) Mitchum; maternal great-grandmother Francina Doctor; three aunts Audashia Doctor, Stephanie (Calvesta) McKnight and Tiffany Williams; five uncles Tyrone (Brittany) Lawrence, Charvelle Graves, Detron Bell, Johnny (Cathy) Wright and Dennis Bellamy; a special friend  Riley Kinlock; a host of caring aunts, uncles, cousins and other friends.
