On the afternoon of September 12, 2024, God sent one of his angels to MUSC of Florence to call our dear James Louis   Davis affectionately known as “Bubba” from his earthly home into his everlasting life. Bubba was born November 29, 1945, to the late Mr. Curtis Davis Sr. and Mrs. Eloise Grant Davis.

He attended Gibbs School in Pamplico, South Carolina. He was employed with CSX railroad of Florence, SC, Morris Lumber Company of Pamplico, SC, and farmed most of his life.

He was never a stranger to anyone and always had a nickname or special greeting for everyone.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. Curtis and Eloise Davis, his sister Jessie Mae Davis, sister-in-law Nadine Davis, brother-in-law Bobby Brown, and a niece Dena Davis.

He leaves to cherish his loving memories, his son Westley (RoShaun) Timmons of Charleston, SC; granddaughter Tyler Timmons; great-grandchild, McKenzie Thomas; brothers John Robert Davis and Curtis (Sylvia) Davis Jr; sister Lenise Brown; a host of children and grandchildren he raised as his own as well as many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
